A group project carried out in the ‘Design Thinking and Digital Fabrication’ elective. The task was to design and fabricate a budgeted, site-specific, lightweight, 1:1 proto-structure. Our structure was created with minimal surface generation tools such as Kangaroo and Grasshopper. We also had to harness knowledge and expertise on algorithmic design, fabrication processes, assembly logic and panelising strategies. The final structure was fabricated using ordinary photo paper and secured with staples. It was assembled in less than a day.
